Residents of Wickliffe are required to subscribe to garbage collection services provided by Kimble. Acceptable items for regular trash include:

- Small Non-Recyclable Items: Items that cannot be recycled, like certain plastics, ceramics, and non-recyclable glass.
Recycling Guidelines
Wickliffe encourages recycling to promote environmental sustainability. Recyclable materials include:
- Paper Products: Newspapers, magazines, office paper, and cardboard.
- Plastic Bottles and Jugs: Plastics labeled #1 and #2, such as beverage bottles and detergent jugs.
- Metal Cans: Aluminum and steel cans.
- Glass Bottles and Jars: Clear, green, and brown glass containers.
Ensure all recyclable items are clean and free from food residue before placing them in the recycling bin.
Yard Waste Disposal
Yard waste collection in Wickliffe runs from March 1 through December 15, coinciding with regular trash collection days. Guidelines for yard waste disposal include:
- Containers: Use the 65-gallon dark green yard waste containers supplied by Kimble. Excess yard waste can be placed in 50-pound biodegradable paper yard waste bags or in your current yellow yard waste container.
- Tree Limbs and Shrub Cuttings: Must be cut into lengths not exceeding four feet and tied in bundles with cotton cord (not nylon twine), with each bundle weighing no more than 40 pounds.
Note: Black plastic bags or regular trash containers will not be picked up for yard waste.
It is also important to point out that it is always a good idea to try and repurpose your yard waste as much as possible. Lawn clippings and leaves can be mulched back into the yard for natural fertilizer, you can compost your leaves and plants to make new soil, or grind up your sticks and branches for wood chips or firewood. Bulk Item Disposal
For large items that do not fit in regular trash containers, such as furniture, appliances, or mattresses, residents should contact Kimble Services to schedule a bulk pickup. It’s advisable to notify them at least 48 hours before your scheduled pickup day.
Hazardous Waste and Special Items
Dispose of items like batteries, paints, chemicals, and electronics using special methods—they don’t belong in regular trash or recycling bins. Trash Collection Schedule and Regulations
The city collects trash, recycling, and yard waste on the same day each week. Per city ordinance, place all containers on the curb after 4:30 pm the day before collection and remove them by 9:00 pm on collection day.
